In March 2020, at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the RWPSF was not sure what the 2020-2021 school year would like. As a board, we decided to hope for the best and approve the grants as requested by the teachers. As it became more evident that the school year would look very different and field trips and other enrichment activities would not take place, the RWPSF and RWPS teachers agreed to reallocate some of the funds to opportunities that best fit the needs of Red Wing students during this unprecedented school year. Below is the amount originally allocated to grants for our schools. The bottom section shows how those funds that would not be used were reallocated to other classes and needs.
